Files for your User ID

This page displays all export and report files created under your user ID for the clients to whom you have access. Only files and reports that have not yet been downloaded or viewed are listed. You may download a file or view a report in this page.

For export files, the Format column displays the accounting software format selected in the Select Client Defaults page. The report name displays for reports.

Note: Datafaction format is only available when Detail (by check) with employee name is Selected as the level of detail.

Downloading a File

1    Click fileicon.gif next to the file. Only one file can be downloaded at a time except for Generic or Datafaction files. Multiple Generic or Datafaction files can be combined into one file to download. Do not mix Generic and Datafaction files.

The maximum number of files is 1,000 files per combined file. Create another file to combine additional files.

To combine files for download:

a. Select the Generic or Datafaction files to combine.

b. Click Combine and Download selected files.

If you receive a message stating that transactions were assigned to the Temporary Holding Account, refer to Handling transactions assigned to the Temporary Holding Account for additional information.

Important

Do not create a file by Date Range that also contains files selected separately. The following scenario will result in duplicate payroll entries in your export file: Three separate files are selected by Payroll. Another file is created by Date Range that also contains the three separate files. The system will allow the three files to be combined with the Date Range files and cause duplicate payroll runs to appear in your combined export file.

2    Save the file. Use any file naming conventions specified by your accounting software.

Viewing a Report

Click rpticon.gif next to the report. The report can be viewed and printed.
